Four of Australia’s Best CLASH in a Women’s Tag Classic

We’ve seen an uprising within the women of Melbourne City Wrestling in recent months. At MCW Hostile Takeover on Saturday June 11 in Essendon, four of Australia’s fastest rising female talents will compete in a tag team match, as Erika Reid teams up with Demi Bennett to face Shazza McKenzie and Charli Evans!

Erika became the first person to defeat Kelly Anne last month at New Horizons, and since then, she’s been the target of a lot of ill will from others within the competition, namely Shazza and Charli. It was Demi Bennett who reached out to Erika, offering a show of support for the plucky upstart.

Meanwhile, we witnessed a new look Shazza McKenzie last weekend at our event in Reservoir: gone was the happy go lucky fan favourite, replaced by an overbearing, egotistical competitor, hell bent on demoralising all who crossed her path, all in the name of fitness.

We’ve received a video message from Shazza and Charli, which we will post in the coming days. But will this new attitude be enough to overcome Erika Reid and Demi Bennett? Or, aided by her new found friend, will Erika continue her winning ways within the company?
