MCW Encore Re-Development Announcement

In early 2014, we here at Melbourne City Wrestling launched our very own video on demand service on Vimeo, MCW Encore on Demand. Since then, MCW Encore has grown in size and popularity, and it now features over forty titles, which can be rented or downloaded by anyone in the world.

We’re proud of the service that we’ve been able to provide thus far, and we’re excited to announce that we’ve begun to redevelop our online streaming service! Starting in mid March, we will be beginning our switch to a new subscription based service, and by the end of the year, we plan on having our ENTIRE event back-catalogue online so you can view the step by step progression of Melbourne City Wrestling since our inception in 2010!

As part of the revamped MCW Encore, not only will you be able to subscribe for a small monthly subscription fee, but if you wish to view individual events, we will still have those available for purchase. Already, we’ve begun uploading all of our previous events, and by the time we launch in a few weeks time, we plan on having every event from 2010 until early 2012 online, most of which have never been available online before! In addition, we’ll have our most recent event from the MCW Arena in Essendon, MCW Ascension, available as part of the subscription service. In total, we’ll have nearly 20 titles available at launch, with more than 30 hours of content available.

As we begin to make this transition, certain events will disappear from our current page, as we make the transfer to include them as part of this new system, which is an unavoidable requirement from Vimeo. If you’ve purchased one of these titles, it will remain in Vimeo’s system for 30 days as part of that transitional period.

We will continue to provide special features and documentaries as part of our standard Vimeo system, and we’re happy to announce that after several months of post-production and shooting, we’ll be releasing MCW Fight Like A Girl in early March. This feature goes behind the scenes, with newly recorded sit down interviews with the women of Melbourne City Wrestling, exclusive behind the scenes footage from a series of photoshoots that we’ve been conducting alongside Cory Lockwood Photography, as well as matches highlighting each competitor on the set. MCW Fight Like A Girl can be pre-ordered now, with a free trailer available to check out via this link.

We hope you’re just as excited as we are about this project, and we want you to let us know what you want to see from MCW Encore moving into the future! Thank you for your support thus far, and we look forward to bringing you a whole heap more content VERY soon!
