At MCW Tensions Rising last month, JXT held an open challenge for his MCW Intercommonwealth Championship, where in a video package prior to the event, he dubbed it “The Sesh”, and welcomed any and all challengers who felt they could take the title away from him. He was successful against Brady Pierce, following a hard fought match, and following the bout, he reiterated that the challenge was open to any professional wrestler on the face of the planet and declared that “the sesh” would never end.
Now, at MCW Clash of the Titans on Friday April 28 at the Thornbury Theatre, JXT will face the his next challenger. His opponent on the night is Alex Kingston, a resident of Perth in Western Australia, and a former Heavyweight Champion for Explosive Pro Wrestling. In addition, Kingston is a former EPW Tag Team Champion, holding those championships along with Shane Haste, who is better known to audiences now as TM-61 member Shane Thorne, competing in WWE NXT. Also known in EPW as “AK-47”, Kingston has been with the company since his debut in 2007, and has also ventured across to the United States to ply his craft in years gone by. His sole MCW appearance to date was in 2012 against Adam Brooks.
Kingston’s style can be described as aerial, but in that same vein, he brings incredible power to the table as well. With that in mind, he is a serious contender for JXT’s MCW Intercommonwealth Championship, and there’s a very strong chance that the title could be heading to Western Australia. Find out whether JXT is able to keep “the sesh” rolling on, as we present MCW Clash of the Titans on Friday April 28, at the Thornbury Theatre.
Pre-sale tickets for the event are available online here for a limited time, and can also be purchased at the venue on the night.
