Two Championship Matches set for MCW Collision Course

Off the back of two massive events in August, Melbourne City Wrestling returns to the MCW Arena in Essendon with ‘Collision Course’ on Saturday September 9. We’ve got two massive championship matches signed for this event, which we’re ready to reveal now.

In the main event, Jonah Rock will defend the MCW Heavyweight Championship against Mr Juicy, in a bout which many fans have been clamouring for following Jonah’s capture of the championship at ‘Ballroom Brawl’. With a championship opportunity at his disposal, which could be cashed in at any point in time, Jonah Rock chose to do it during the main event bout between Dowie James and Mr Juicy, defeating Juicy to win the championship (as seen in this video).

Mr Juicy worked his way back into a championship bout by defeating Jonah Rock’s TMDK stablemates, Damian Slater and Marcius Pitt, alongside an unlikely ally in Bullet Club member, Bad Luck Fale, which took place at MCW New Horizons. Jonah Rock will be appearing at MCW Collision Course fresh off a stint with Pro Wrestling Guerrilla in the United States, where he will be competing in the highly coveted ‘Battle of Los Angeles’ tournament.

Needless to say, with Jonah Rock’s overseas accomplishments, and with the run that Mr Juicy has been on in 2017 with Melbourne City Wrestling, this is a bout between not only two of the best wrestlers in Australia today, but two competitors who are set to make waves on a worldwide scale!

In our second of two championship matches, Adam Brooks will defend his newly reclaimed MCW Intercommonwealth Championship against the new number one contender, JXT.

It was at MCW Fight to Survive when Adam Brooks defeated JXT under dubious circumstances, after JXT was taken out of commission by Emanuelle and Johnathan Preston. Since then, Brooks has been at war in two critically acclaimed bouts with Will Ospreay (with Robbie Eagles being involved in the latter of the two), which have had the wrestling world talking.

Meanwhile, JXT became the new number one contender by outlasting six other competitors in an elimination bout at MCW New Horizons, and now has the chance to recapture a championship that many feel he lost unfairly to begin with.

Tickets for this event are on sale now, and are selling fast. Reserved seating can be purchased online via this link, and any tickets left will be available at the venue on the night.
