Travis Banks Withdraws From MCW Seven. Replacement Info Inside!

It is with a great deal of displeasure that due to unavoidable circumstances, we have to announce that Travis Banks has had to withdraw from the Melbourne City Invitational, and will no longer be making his return to Melbourne City Wrestling for MCW Seven. This is a situation that is out of the hands of both Melbourne City Wrestling and Travis Banks. We remain in close contact with Travis, and we will be looking at rescheduling his return to Melbourne City Wrestling at some point in the not too distant future.

While it is always deflating when we have to remind everyone that the “card is subject to change”, MCW Management have been scrambling to work on a suitable replacement for Travis, and we believe that we’ve found someone, who is able to replace Travis at extremely short notice.

So, while we’re disappointed that Travis Banks can no longer make it to Australia next week, we’re very excited to announce that his replacement will be none other than Trent Seven, who now takes Travis’ spot in the Melbourne City Invitational!

In a career spanning nearly a decade, Trent Seven has become one of the hottest commodities in British wrestling. As a member of the British Strong Style faction, Trent is a former PROGRESS Wrestling Tag Team Champion, and has featured on WWE television regularly throughout 2017, including appearances in the WWE Network UK Tournament earlier this year, and appearing on NXT as recently as the end of August, where he and fellow Moustache Mountain tag team partner Tyler Bate teamed up against Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish.

With that announcement, we can reveal that on night one of our seventh anniversary double header, Trent Seven will face Mr Juicy in the qualifying round of the Melbourne City Invitational!

All of us here at Melbourne City Wrestling apologise to everyone who was looking forward to seeing Travis Banks this upcoming weekend, but we feel that we’ve found an excellent replacement, and we thank Trent for stepping in at such short notice.

We will be closing online ticket sales on Sunday, and as of this writing, only 20 reserved early bird tickets remain for night one of the tournament, and a mere four tickets remain for night two, so we advise anyone looking to secure reserved seating to get in QUICK! We will have more seating available.on the night, but it will be first in, best dressed.
